Circle of Security Classroom

Education professionals benefit from guidance on how to promote secure attachment relationships with children in their program/classroom.

The Circle of Security Classroom (COSC) Approach is designed to enhance educators' abilities to form secure relationships, and offers critical organising principles from attachment theory to improve educator confidence and competence in relationship building. This, in turn, fosters strong secure educator-student relationships, and ultimately, student learning. COSC is a two tier approach to support secure relationships in the classroom by first equipping educators with professional learning opportunities and, then, the application in the classroom through supportive coaching.

Gowrie SA is offering this course to educators in any setting over 8 weeks of 1.5 hours per week (one Wednesday evening a week).
