Language reveals mindset: reflecting on the words we use
The language educators use can shape expectations, relationships, and children’s identities. Everyday language reflects underlying beliefs and mindsets about children, behaviour, and inclusion. Participants will have the opportunity to examine common phrases used in ECEC settings and explore how shifting language can support strength-based, respectful, and inclusive practice.
