  • Flying Start funded four-year-old kindergarten

Enrolment processes

We look forward to welcoming you to our Gowrie SA learning community. To start your child’s enrolment journey, you will first need to join our waiting list.

We encourage all new and existing families to submit new waitlist applications at least 12-18 months prior to your desired start date.

Though we cannot provide exact timeframes for availability, you can find further information below about intakes, program fees and enrolment progressions to optimise your child’s learning from their first year of life, right through to school.

Intakes

We accept enrolments throughout the year as vacancies become available.

Kindergarten enrolments are termly, with most spaces becoming available in January (Term 1) or July (Term 3).

Children may enrol in our integrated kindergarten rooms from their third birthday, with funded kindergarten enrolments commencing two years or one year prior to their expected school start date.

Enrolment progressions

New families:

Please ensure your contact details remain current on our waiting list

We follow Department of Education Priority of Access guidelines and offer positions as they become available.

We recommend attending a tour of our services ahead of time, so you can accept your offer promptly.

Once we have offered you a space, we invite you to complete our online Enrolment Form to finalise your child’s enrolment.

A current Medicare Immunisation Record and Child and Adult CRN numbers are required at this point.

Commencing families attend 2-3 (or more) enrolment visits with their child.

These visits are designed to meet the educators, spend time learning and navigating the environment and begin getting to know each other. You will also receive our Service Handbook with further information to support your journey.

From here, we look forward to settling your child on their first day and launching them into the Gowrie SA community.

Current families

Current infant and toddler families have priority of access to transition into our integrated kindergartens. This is a gradual 5-week transition process, and you can read more about this in our Service Handbook.

“It was one of the most significant choices we have made for our child, and having experienced his level of care, it’s a choice that we couldn’t be more confident about”
