Preschool Boost

Preschool Boost Funding will be provided by the Office of Early Childhood Development to services that enter into partnership to deliver 3 year old Preschool. The intention of the funding is to encourage early intervention to better support children's developmental growth during important stages. Gowrie SA is offering services that have been approved as part of the Boost Menu. See below for all the programs on offer and contact us if you would like any further information.

Circle of Security Classroom©

The Circle of Security Classroom (COSC) program is designed to enhance your abilities to form secure relationships and offers critical organising principles from attachment theory to improve your confidence and competence in relationship building. This, in turn, fosters strong secure educator-student relationships, and ultimately, student learning.

Circle of Security Parenting©

Circle of Security Parenting provides a roadmap to assist adults to build stronger relationships with their children. The focus of the program is around building parent capacity for reflection on family of origin and current parenting practices to ensure secure attachment relationships with children. 

Learning language and loving it- The Hanen Program©

Learning Language and Loving It™—The Hanen Program® provides a step-by-step approach to promoting children’s social, language and literacy development during everyday activities in early childhood settings. You will learn to create enriched interactive language-learning environments that include children with special needs, children who are second language learners and children who are typically developing.

Naming is a Gift – Marte Meo

Naming is a gift is a program that supports you to use the Marte Meo approach to deepen your reflections on interactions during everyday moments with children. The program is designed to offer theoretical insights on the Marte Meo approach. Your practical skills will be refined when you review your interactions and relational pedagogies with guided analysis and support. Marte Meo uses plain language and accessible steps to help you to develop skills to support children’s learning and development. 

Pedagogy in Practice Series

Building upon the success of Gowrie SA’s Unpacking Quality Area professional learning series, the Pedagogy in Practice program is designed to be a wraparound support for early childhood education and care settings. It explores the teaching and learning connections that intersect between the National Quality Standards and the second edition of the Early Years Learning Framework and how to provide a curriculum that promotes children’s development. 

Teach-Do-Learn© – Parenting Program 

The Teach-Do-Learn (TDL) Parenting Program provides targeted and practical hands-on guidance to increase parent, guardian or foster carer capabilities with a focus on quality early development and learning experiences for children centred on the Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) Development Domains. 

Leadership Coaching

 This leadership coaching program is tailored to you, ensuring a strong match in both fit and purpose. Your coach will guide you using reflective tools to help you identify a professional focus relevant to your role. Together, you’ll work on fostering a growth mindset, setting and achieving goals, engaging in deep reflection, and tracking your progress. 

Teach-Do-Learn© Facilitator Training

This program will upskill you to deliver the Teach-Do-Learn© Program. You will be provided with training and materials (including a manual) to deliver the program in your respective services. 

Teach-do-learn provides targeted and practical hands-on guidance to increase parents, guardians and foster carer knowledge of quality early development and learning experiences for children.

Yellaka Warra – Today’s Word

This program is for those working on Kaurna Country, led by a Kaurna Elder from Deadly Mob and a Gowrie SA facilitator. Yellaka Warra is a language program to learn Kaurna language and its protocols for use. The program will be offered in a narrative style and will include opportunities for Q&A, role play, practice, homework, and handouts.

Understanding Childhood Trauma and Behaviour

This program will explore the interconnected nature of children’s trauma, behaviour and development. Narrative reflections will provide continuity between sessions, which will include a mix of theory with creative practices to learn, experiment with and fine-tune your techniques, tools and strategies to develop your own unique trauma responsive pedagogy toolkits.
