Teach-Do-Learn© Facilitator Training – Educator Upskilling

Program description

This program will upskill you to deliver the Teach-Do-Learn© Program. You will be provided with training and materials (including a manual) to deliver the program in your respective services. 

This Program provides targeted and practical hands-on guidance to increase parents, guardians and foster carer knowledge of quality early development and learning experiences for children.

Parents and carers come together to learn from each other and strengthen relationships with their children by engaging in activities with the support of qualified and experienced early childhood educators. There is also direct and regular access to, and practical guidance and support from, guest allied health professionals to support children’s communication, language, physical, emotional and social development. Allied health practitioners include speech pathologists, play therapists, occupational therapists and Raising Literacy Australia. The aim of the program is to provide a soft early intervention referral pathway for families.

How the program is delivered

This program is delivered in-person and online over 2 x 6-hour sessions of facilitator training. The program includes a Facilitation Manual for the Teach–Do–Learn Program.

Expected outcomes for this program are:

• ability to support gross and fine motor development

• ability to implement strategies to support social skill development

• ability to implement strategies for promoting language development

• ability to implement strategies to support communication

This program is delivered for $2,250.
